  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients until they are well combined (gram flour, salt, water, lemon juice, baking soda).
  • All ingredients should be thoroughly mixed. Before using the batter, it should be fermented for 1-2 hours. 
  • Fill a steamer halfway with boiling water and cover it with cooking oil to prevent it from sticking.
  • While still hot, steam for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Fill a small pot with 1/2 cup of water and boil it on the stovetop. 
  • Reduce the heat to low, squeeze in half a lemon, and mix the sugar and coriander leaves until well combined. 
  • You can add finely chopped green chillies to the mix if you want the meal to be spicier. 
  • To finish cooking the Dhokla, turn off the heat and drizzle a thin layer of tempering.
